It was a well performed match despite CuivascoFC still playing with 9men this time. Passing slightly improved a bit, maybe due to the additional space allowed or maybe through more of our own chemistry.

Everywhere was solid, and all departments did our jobs. Despite this, i would like us to take note that we should try not to stick too much in our own positions. For example, wingers might want to try and cut in with the ball or enter the penalty area without the ball. Wing backs might also want to go up to the flanks to support the wingers more(Which i think we are still doing quite well).

The strikers might also want to try facing our goal and receiving the ball, shielding it from th opposition while we get more men forward.

Anyway, more communication and less scolding each other please.

TIP: Raise your head to scan across the field for all players' positions when a pass is given to you. (ie. the ball is rolling towards you)

Match Details

In general it was a disappointing performance by the team although there were a few bright sparks. Of course, we wanted more from a game whereby the opposition were playing with 9 men in the first half and 10 men in the second.

Complacency might have been one of the factors and tiredness is one of them for sure. There were few link up play because our players rarely ran, and even during the defence phase, there were little running to go back to regain possession. Th next time round, we would not like to play too much at the gateball court anymore.

Despite having a weakened defence today, we were expected to win the game with the player number advantage.

I would not like to point out specific mistakes today, but in general, everyone had no mood to play.

Match Details

Weijie turned in another performance of the highest quality by leading the charge with a hat trick of assist and a second consecutive hat-trick of goals.

The 4-4-2 formation tested in this match turned out well, but it could not be judged fairly because of the heavy rain which made the centre of the pitch waterlogged. Despite this, we could see that there was more support for the strikers, but definitely lesser defended area in the centre.

It was also a clean and solid debut by Aloysius, who showed that his lack of experience could be covered up by his physical attributes.

Hopefully, our next match will be against Playmakers FC. (Booking a field and possibly ref)

Firstly, a bit congratulations to Weijie for his hat-trick during this match. It proves the hot form he is in right now, scoring 4 goals in the last 3 matches.

It was a great performance by the team generally, especially in the last 20minutes of the match. Our passing linked up well, played in around the box with the one-two passing, and the defence did a fantastic job covering their attackers to restrict them to only 2 shots on goal. Also, our stand in keeper did well to keep our second consecutive clean sheet.

Through this match, we can see that a lot of players have improved, especially newcomers Jesmond, Wesley and Perry. Slowly they've got used to how Ignite plays our football.

We raised our tempo of passing after each pass, as the link-up play between defence-midfield, midfield-attack was good, with little minor mistakes and much one touch passes to find free players.

A very good game play from us. Despite taking a very long time to get a field, we managed to keep our calm during the match, or in fact was even more fired up for it.

We passed well throughout the match and even in the second half, we defended well. Congratulations to the defence for keeping another clean sheet. :D

As usual, our first goal came from the aerial ability from Huaimin, who did well to poke the ball into the corner of the goalpost. We created chances again and again, and was organised to deny chances from KessyFC. A very satisfactory performance from the team, and also a solid debut from our new right back, Henry.

On improvements we need to make. We need to try and pass more through the center of the pitch, as we have an advantage against other opponents because of the 3 man midfield, and it would be effective to utilise that advantage.

Also, we need to backpass more as almost 95% of our mentality is going forward. Sometimes, passing back pay dividends.

It was another complacency end by Ignite again, as we register our first loss of the season. In the second half we didn't play as well as the first half, most probably because we were leading by 2-1 and we didn't think we'll lose. I hope in all the other matches, our players can concentrate 100% throughout the match and at least at the end of the day, we win the game and we're happy about the score.

It was not really our usual passing game again as I think fandi field's surface might not be good enough for passing already. Most probably the other matches will be played mostly at police post field.

We did quite well today to hold their attacks, but we were losing out on our physical presence and our aerial ability and we have to train these to keep the ball better. Anyone wants sunday training?

Match Details

We didn't play as well as expected in this match, our passing were not linked up as usual. Most of us were not in the best of form. In fact some of us knew we played badly ourselves. Jesmond was deployed at right back for the first time in IgniteFC and he did well, putting in the tackles where needed.

We had quite a number of chances to wrap things up but we were disadvantaged by our lack of composure and shot wide a number of times when there were goalscoring opportunities.

The goal conceded was a bad one. We conceded on a counter attack after a corner, and it is said that there were 4 defenders behind. But in fact, only one was seen in the middle. I urge everyone to know that defending a corner counter attack, we got to zonal mark and not man mark. Which means standing in your position, and tackling anyone who comes your way/hold the play up until we get back to defend. Do not man mark anyone. Hope we'll play better in our next game. :D

Match Details

In this game, we played much better in the first half than in the second half. In the 2nd, we were much less organised and players were all around the place. Support was rarely offered and I guess it was the size of the pitch which made the tempo of the game high, resulting in fatigue.

The pitch was also very uneven and thus our passing game was greatly ineffectual.

Generally we still played well but we HAVE TO improve on our stamina. By improving our stamina, then we can play our game throughout the 90min.

Match Details

Ignite's passing improved a lot in this superbly exciting match. We kept the ball well, gave short passing all over the pitch, and possession was great for us. It was up to us to keep our confidence running when we conceded the second equaliser on the last minute, and we did really well to be composed.

However, there are a few points to note. Everyone now knows our roles in the different positions in our formation, so i hope our positioning and play would be much more improved. ( As shown today)

We are also lacking a right back, so I'm requesting our players to scout one, or you can introduce any of your RIGHT BACK friend. :D

The attendance is also worrying, as we need more players to come for matches on a frequent basis unless a valid reason is provided.

We might be changing our jerseys for the new year, so get ready some angbao money. =)

In this match, 3eFC were handicapped for most of the game, as they had 10, 9, or 11 people throughout the match.
Our players generally were lacking stamina during the match, and also were complacent as we conceded the goals. More training is needed on heading.(1 of the goals were conceded by a corner.)

Our short passing was quite good, but much to improve on the positioning of players. (Pass,move,etc) Our strikers did a great job this time, cooperating and did what they are best at.
Defenders kept out opponents, and midfield linked both well.

But I need to review the attendance as the new year approaches.

We played a 4-4-2 formation in this match, which proved rather well as the strikers are provided with more support. We created many chances and could've scored more, so probably we have to train on our composure. The midfield played well, connecting between the defence and attack. Defence was firm, and Rex played relatively well despite it being his first match. Strikers were good, pressuring the opponents defence when needed.

Generally the play was what we were expected of. Passing around and communicating a lot. The field was a big one, and thus nearing the end of the match we were on low stamina.

Areas of improvement. Strikers need to be more clinical and take MORE shots. Midfield need to support each other more, as we played a 4 man midfield which is one man less than our normal 5 man midfield. Defence needs to clear balls when needed and not play around behind, risking loss of possession.

Also, I need people to come for matches as we will review the attendance again.

The play was good, there was much more passing from the team and much communication. Despite this, communication was only available in a area where the ball is. Communication doesn't exist all around the pitch. Defence was firm, very composed. Strikers provided the goals clinically and midfield provided the passes.

One problem is that there isn't enough passing back to the defence as we always discussed. Please take note. And also, open up play and space out yourselves. Cramming in one area will make things difficult for ourselves.

A match with a better attendence , the match was quite an interesting one filled with actions and entertainment. The team played relatively well . However one thing we have to improve on is the defence as we concede many early goals due to dreadful defending. The attack was good in the second half as we rack up many goals. Just to add on we had a new player joining us today, Ian, he played extremely well. He impressed on his debut by scoring 2 goals, more to come from him. Great game but poor attendence , we only had seven players turning up for the match , the opponents wanted to continue the match despite the lack of players. We had to borrow players from them.

We let in an early goal because of the lack of communications as the opponents were playing a very fast tempo game. We stepped up our interest right after that and hold the midfield tightly. We then equalise through a nice goal scored by a player we borrowed whose intended cross curl in the post. The scoreline remains until halftime.

In first part of the second half , we control most of the possession. Our midfield was quite compact and the passes were good. However that did not last very long as a moment of lack of concentration we conceded a goal. Soon after we lost our interest and let in one more. The was a glimpse of hope that we could turn things around as Renjie and iman combined well to score a goal to pull one back. However the opponent restored their lead soon after which killed our strong hearts. The game was good in general but there is still things we can improve on.

Match Details
There was many problems prior to this match , as many players could not turn up with many reasons of their own. The match had to be delayed for quite some time as we had to sort out many problems. This delay caused much of the opponent team discontent.Nevertheless the match still goes on as we Ignite does not give up with out a fight .

There was no keeper , no manager but the match still goes on despite some remonstrance of relinquishing the match . Eventually the match kicks off,Ignite got off to a wondrous start as Roy drew first blood .However the lead was terse as Weijie who had to supersede the place of the keeper made a mistake by letting the opponents equalised. Ignite second goal was a masterpiece by Roy who made an exquisite finsh as he dribbled his way from his own half through a classic counter attack . However weijie was caught out of position yet again and let in two more goals before the first half ended. Ignite showed in the 1st half that we were dexterous of attacking despite lacking first team attackers.

During the halftime break Ignite went into austere teamtalk .Ignite had to deal with more problems as Junyu had to left due to commitments we understand . We commence the 2nd half as Marvin was switched to the keeper role a strenuous descision made. Ignite did well as we showed great Unity . We let in the 4th goal but we did not throw in towel . We forced the game to a point that the score which was 5-4 through goals by MingLiang.He did marvelously to score from a tight angle , he peformed distinctively as the right winger making surging runs to break down the defence . Marvin made many important saves for the team saving us from blushes.Roy completed his hat trick with a delicate finish which the keeper had no chance of stopping . Great contribution by MingLiang and Roy for getting on the scoresheet.The match ended 6-9.

Overall Ignite played well and had lots of fun , one of the best game . The midfield was dynamite led by Junyu ,Junwei and Nicholas who made assists for the team. The defence was also strong with HanLin making exigent tackles. Interestingly , Nicholas also made a "hand of god" on the goal line to deny a goal . The team showed great intrepidity as we know self-trust is the essence of heroism . Astounding display as we lost with our heads held high.

On a slight note , this club need more discipline and people need to have more responsibilities .

The price of greatness is responsibility.

Match Details

We played fairly well on this day, although we were on unfamiliar ground, we played very well and the performance was an improvement from our last. We passed around more, and handled our possession better.

But there is one thing to note. Many of us are committing blind passes these few matches, and these are noticeable from the losing of possession because of such passes. I'd like to say that if there isn't any option up front to pass to, our defenders are readily available at the back. Although we have a very attacking-minded team, I would want everyone to be able to balance up passing throughout the pitch. There is always an advantage to pass back to the defence, to lure the opponent to a more advanced position, and it'll allow our team more space while we are attacking.

Generally everything was good, our defense was firm, midfield was providing, and strikers were creating chances.

In the second half, we conceded a goal through a lapse of concentration, and I wouldn't say it was anybody's fault. but we worked well and without complacency to keep the score at 4-1, despite the opponents trying very hard to fight for a comeback.

On a lighter note, I would like to inform that for th few upcoming matches, I'll convert to right-back to solve the problem of that position, and also our problem of lack of defenders. This will continue until we find another defender.

ALSO, I want everyone to give me their ideal captain for the team AGAIN on the tagboard. Just for some reference.

Sry for the delay of the match report as the manager is busy and having some personal problems so he could not manage to post it. Nevertheless I will still post it although it is quite late .

The match was a relatively good one although we fell to an early goal which gives up the wake up call. We responded quite fast to that early setback. The attack was making numerous surging run into the opponents defence. We got our reward as Junyu make an beautiful cross into the penalty box which caught the hands of the opponent . They were honest and confess to the handball and Junyu duly dispatched the penalty into the bottom right corner . Ignite equalised 1-1 . Then minutes later top-scorer Huai min as usual was on target to score for Ignite yet again . His goal scoring form continues on , he make an beautiful turn and put the ball into the top corner.

In the second half the opponents then started attacking continously trying to cause problems for our defence but our midfield was compact and the defence stood strong and sturdy to prevent them from scoring. We did made a few attacks , Ricky also managed to earn some freekicks after claiming he was fouled. Those freekicks nearly turned into goals. In the dying minutes of the match , the opponents was all out attack as they trying desperately to search for an equaliser. After an corner we made an swift counter attack which Roy scored , his beautiful run was met by with Huaimin's pass. His goal was the last action of the match.

The match did not last 90 minutes as before our match the were 2 other teams having a match and had a fight . Our match started late so when the sky was getting dark we had to end earlier than 90 minutes .

Match Details

A great match in which we tried our new formation and tactics. In general, I felt 4-3-3 worked well for us, since it was th first time we used it and we hadn't really played a match as a team together for quite a long time, it was up to expectations.

We passed quite well, and everyone was rather clear about their duties.

Nice first goal by Douglas, from a GOALKICK. Set the tempo for us, and raised our morale. Soon, we took over possession and dominated attacks. Soon, Weijie scored in the early minutes too, and we felt more relaxed. Then we played better too. Another close range goal by Huaimin, almost settled things for us, and afterwards a long range goal by Junyu, what he always does best.

Afterwards during the second half, some of their better players came in, and we were pushed back, didn't play as well as in the first half. Normal we do play better in the second half, but its okay. The score's good. (:

Anyway, from today onwards we might alternate between the two formation we normally use, depending on our opponents. And oh, great job for handling the physical tacklings and all today, I believe we got stronger today.

Something to note, the next time we lose the ball or when we're tracking back on an opponent, do NOT give up halfway.

Match details

Great game by Ignite as they made completed another comeback to beat Gate3 . Our team took their chances and score .Our midfield was quite organised this around, balancing the attack and defence quite well .

Our defence was good as they managed to hold off some attacks from the opponents. The attack did really well as they score quite a number today . As usual again , we play far more better in the second half.

Although some problems on the match as tackles were flying around , everyone was very eager to win which caused much of misunderstanding when players tried to tackle each other. We handled the situation well and extended our unbeaten streak to 5 games .

Congrats to Huaimin for scoring yet another hat-trick who is our top scorer . He played well and contributed quite a lot to help inspire the win . Also congrats to Junwei for scoring his first goal for the club , he took his chances well . Lastly , sad news for today is our manager said that there would be no match for next week and most probably until mid year exam ends . Hope Ming Liang who is on the injury list would recover by then .

Fairly average game, we had quite a few chances squandered, but we couldn't blame that because at least we had a win. Our midfield was once again rather empty this time, but overally we exchanged passes well. Everyone did well, and Roy's goal seemed very nice.

Our defence was very tight too, and attack created quite a number of chances. As usual again, we played better in the second half. Also, the first appearance of Kian Heng and j was fairly good, and they played fairly well.

Although some problems and troubles happened on the pitch, like the opponents were playing rather fouly, we handled the situation well and continued on your unbeaten streak.

Anyway, Mingliang's injured, so he might be out for the next game against Gate3 on Wednesday.

Match report

Congratulations to the first hat-trick hero of Ignite, Huaimin. Today's game was even better after the introduction of two players, and also the return of some players who have not played for some time, like Javier and Leonard.

Lots of improvement can be spotted today, with passing as one of the obvious. Our ball control and long passes were also better. I hope this keeps up. In this game, we communicated more and that was very important towards influencing the score. Our defenders were composed, and did what they are expected. Also, I think our team's experience allowed us an advantage over the opponent.

As usual, we played better in the second half, but we started brightly in the first half. Passing around well, I think this formation we are using suits us.

Here to inform all Ignite Players that we will be having a match against a mysterious team tml on the 10 April which is the Good Friday . Although it is a public holiday but it is compulsory for every player to turn up . Everyone are supposed to reach by 8 10 am . Those who are late will be handed with punishments and those who did not turn without valid reason will face even heavier punishments. Everyone must wear our Ignite 1st kit as we will be taking sqaud picture tml . The match will be at Ah Tong field . Just in case those who do not know where is it or what name is that , i will show where is it as you read on .

Today's match was incredibly well, we did much better in the second half,it seems like a pattern in our recent matches already, like the chairman said before we should perform well and the same for both halves . Trailing by 3 goals down at halftime, we did not give up. We attack relentlessly and our hard work paid and made an memorable comeback.

Our well work tactic paid off during the 2nd half as we placed Huaimin as attacker and subsituted super sub Junyu in . They created a higher tempo for the 2nd half . Huaimin performance was superb scoring 2 important goals to build up the momentum for the team . Not to forget Junyu's wonderfully taken goal in the last minute sparks celebration , we were all jubilant with it .

One MAJOR MAJOR problem is our lack of communication and i really don't know how to stress it well enough for us to improve on that. Lots of possession is lost because of this. In the second half, although we did concede 2 goals but we created even more as we worked well, and mounted pressure. Everybody worked really hard.Everybody worked really hard, and thanks Weijie for playing in right-back position today and even saving 3 goals, which had helped the team greatly to draw eventually with the opponent Also, Douglas did pretty well in his saves. In general, everybody was superb. Great team effort.

Match Details
It was only a 8 a side match, and we did pretty well. Firstly, thanks to Jialeong who helped us to play too. Many didn't come due to cca and other commitments, as stated in the below post. Played the whole game despite having some people there, they were gracious and only took some space for their training. Northland secondary soccer team.(Maybe next time we playing friendly with them).
Everyone were having their debut in ignite colours. Everybody did very well. Even Tianfu being left-back, also can score. =) And not to forget, when Huaimin was the keeper, he scored with a free kick, being our second keeper to score.
Overall, passing was okay, but fluidity was not at best partly because of the puddles of water in the field.
Nice playing by all.

There is a match tml against InterLion at 3 10 pm in the CCHY school field, those with Ignite jersey can wear it while those without we will bring it for you . We would be having a few first team regulars absent for this match due to their commitment towards their CCA, the club understand . However , like the manager said , without the likes of the wushu players and those players attached to Interlion , our match peformance for tml would not be underestimated . Match Report

We conceded an very early goal that caught us by surprise . The opponents scored through their first corner kick .The opponents were of bigger size and greater height compared to us , posing an aerial threat to us . Our keeper was brave as he challenge for the ball which landed him in acute pain . We conceded two more goal this time around due to lapse of concentration . For the last part of the first half we tighten our defence and did not concede anymore goal .

We changed our formations and played with 3 attackers. We became more focused . Through some beautiful passing around , roy send a ball towards huai min who controls and score. Our keeper made a mistake as he lets in a harmless ball , not his fault as he was injured. The game did not finish as the rain started pouring down heavily.

Our defence was weaker due to the absence of some defenders.We played better in the second half and managed to pull one goal back .Congrats to Huai Min for scoring his first goal and to Roy who contributed an assist. Our players done well as they did not give up till the very end .

Match Report

Not much of a blame to be put on th players, but also, no excuses used. The absence of many of our first team players certainly affected out play. And also, the width and length of the small pitch at northland primary was certainly a major factor. Nobody in the team has really played on such a small ground before, thus making us look much more inexperienced and ineffective.

Had a rather patchy defence, and when we were 2-0 down and pulled one back, we started playing very attacking football. Deploying three strikers, we could only pump long balls into the penalty area of them to chase. The field was too small for short passes.

Our attackers need to sharpen more a bit, on physical strength(Related to keeping possession) and also our finishing(As proved by the hitting of post three times).
