Match: IgniteFc vs Cuivasco FC Score: 5-3 Scorers(Assists): Douglas(Penalty), Roy, Roy(Junwei), Wesley(Weijie), Roy(Douglas), It was a well performed match despite CuivascoFC still playing with 9men this time. Passing slightly improved a bit, maybe due to the additional space allowed or maybe through more of our own chemistry. Everywhere was solid, and all departments did our jobs. Despite this, i would like us to take note that we should try not to stick too much in our own positions. For example, wingers might want to try and cut in with the ball or enter the penalty area without the ball. Wing backs might also want to go up to the flanks to support the wingers more(Which i think we are still doing quite well). The strikers might also want to try facing our goal and receiving the ball, shielding it from th opposition while we get more men forward. Anyway, more communication and less scolding each other please. TIP: Raise your head to scan across the field for all players' positions when a pass is given to you. (ie. the ball is rolling towards you) (IgniteFC) Our loyalty stays within, @ 9:10 PM Sunday, April 4, 2010 Match Report Match: IgniteFc vs Cuivasco FC Score: 4-6 Scorers(Assists): Weijie(Junwei), Junyu(Nicholas), Roy(Ian), Roy(Junyu) Match Details In general it was a disappointing performance by the team although there were a few bright sparks. Of course, we wanted more from a game whereby the opposition were playing with 9 men in the first half and 10 men in the second. Complacency might have been one of the factors and tiredness is one of them for sure. There were few link up play because our players rarely ran, and even during the defence phase, there were little running to go back to regain possession. Th next time round, we would not like to play too much at the gateball court anymore. Despite having a weakened defence today, we were expected to win the game with the player number advantage. I would not like to point out specific mistakes today, but in general, everyone had no mood to play.
(IgniteFC) Our loyalty stays within, @ 12:25 AM Saturday, March 20, 2010 Match Report Match: IgniteFc vs Rudy's Team Score: 7-3 Scorers(Assists): Huaimin(Junyu), Junwei(Weijie), Huaimin(Weijie), Weijie(Gabriel), O.G(Weijie), Weijie(Roy), Weijie Match Details Weijie turned in another performance of the highest quality by leading the charge with a hat trick of assist and a second consecutive hat-trick of goals. The 4-4-2 formation tested in this match turned out well, but it could not be judged fairly because of the heavy rain which made the centre of the pitch waterlogged. Despite this, we could see that there was more support for the strikers, but definitely lesser defended area in the centre. It was also a clean and solid debut by Aloysius, who showed that his lack of experience could be covered up by his physical attributes. Hopefully, our next match will be against Playmakers FC. (Booking a field and possibly ref)
(IgniteFC) Our loyalty stays within, @ 8:59 PM Saturday, March 13, 2010 Match Report Match: IgniteFc vs 3eFC Score: 4-0 Scorers(Assists): Ian(Nicholas), Weijie, Weijie, Weijie Firstly, a bit congratulations to Weijie for his hat-trick during this match. It proves the hot form he is in right now, scoring 4 goals in the last 3 matches. It was a great performance by the team generally, especially in the last 20minutes of the match. Our passing linked up well, played in around the box with the one-two passing, and the defence did a fantastic job covering their attackers to restrict them to only 2 shots on goal. Also, our stand in keeper did well to keep our second consecutive clean sheet. Through this match, we can see that a lot of players have improved, especially newcomers Jesmond, Wesley and Perry. Slowly they've got used to how Ignite plays our football. We raised our tempo of passing after each pass, as the link-up play between defence-midfield, midfield-attack was good, with little minor mistakes and much one touch passes to find free players. #14
(IgniteFC) Our loyalty stays within, @ 10:09 PM Monday, March 8, 2010 Match Report Match: IgniteFc vs Kessy FC Score: 2-0 Scorers(Assists): Huaimin(Douglas), Ian A very good game play from us. Despite taking a very long time to get a field, we managed to keep our calm during the match, or in fact was even more fired up for it. We passed well throughout the match and even in the second half, we defended well. Congratulations to the defence for keeping another clean sheet. :D As usual, our first goal came from the aerial ability from Huaimin, who did well to poke the ball into the corner of the goalpost. We created chances again and again, and was organised to deny chances from KessyFC. A very satisfactory performance from the team, and also a solid debut from our new right back, Henry. On improvements we need to make. We need to try and pass more through the center of the pitch, as we have an advantage against other opponents because of the 3 man midfield, and it would be effective to utilise that advantage. Also, we need to backpass more as almost 95% of our mentality is going forward. Sometimes, passing back pay dividends. #14 Ricky
(IgniteFC) Our loyalty stays within, @ 9:25 PM Saturday, February 27, 2010 Match Report Match: IgniteFc vs ?FC Score: 3-4 Scorers(Assists): Huaimin(Junwei), Weijie(Junwei), Douglas(Penalty) It was another complacency end by Ignite again, as we register our first loss of the season. In the second half we didn't play as well as the first half, most probably because we were leading by 2-1 and we didn't think we'll lose. I hope in all the other matches, our players can concentrate 100% throughout the match and at least at the end of the day, we win the game and we're happy about the score. It was not really our usual passing game again as I think fandi field's surface might not be good enough for passing already. Most probably the other matches will be played mostly at police post field. We did quite well today to hold their attacks, but we were losing out on our physical presence and our aerial ability and we have to train these to keep the ball better. 4.Nicholas, Age:16 Defensive/Centre Midfielder Nicholas is renowned for combining his strength and physical power in front of the back four with great technique. He is usually employed as a defensive midfielder and is capable of pushing forward to support the attack if required, as well as being adept at passing the ball at speed to keep moves flowing. 5.Iman, Age:16 Goalkeeper/ Centre Back/ Striker A classy and complete centre-forward, pairing the ability to ruthlessly and regularly find the net inside the box with the aptitude to create moments of sheer magic outside it. Left footed and very skillful, he reads the game well and has a great ability to launch his team in counter attacks. In addition he's very strong in the air and is able to break up opposition attacks with his tackling and clearance. Iman is also an excellent keeper for the club whenever the need arises. 6.Leonard , Age:14 Left Fullback Leonard is a physical presence on the pitch, and is able to bite anywhere on the pitch. He rarely tires, and patrols the whole left side of the pitch, participating as much in defence as attack. He has shown great leadership skills in defence, despite his young age. 7.Junyu , Age:16 Left/Right Winger Junyu is a player who creates plenty of tactical options due to his versatility and polyvalence. He likes to help out in attack and makes dangerous penetrating runs through to the penalty area to create goal scoring opportunities. He is both athletic and quick, and able to play on either of the two wings, playing wide or more centrally, and has a killer instinct in front of goal. 
8.Javier, Age:16 Right Fullback A player very good at doing last ditch tackles to prevent opponent from scoring or setting up an attack and very brave too. Being a determined player, Javier gives his all in every game. He enters every game refusing to contemplate defeat. He raced up and down the wing, effortlessly picking the pockets of opponents who ran at him and helping out the team in creating an attack. 9.Roy , Age:15 Striker/ Right Winger Roy is fast and has the ability to go past his marker. He is used to dealing with defenders that are stronger and more experienced than him. His bursts of speed and his skill with the ball at his feet are two of his virtues. . However, his main strength is his never-ending hunger for goal. 10. Weijie, Age:16 Striker/ Right Winger An explosive striker who is a consistent team member possessing crowd-awing skills together with good footwork , using his ability to get pass players. Weijie is arguably Ignite’s most important player. The young striker openly aims to better his goals tally each season, bringing glory to his team. 11.Tianfu, Age:15 Left/ Right Fullback A player who tries his best to tackle the opponents stopping them from advancing forward. Tianfu is predominantly a right-sided player but is also comfortable at left-back. He does his best to oppose any attacks coming from the opponents. 
12.Douglas, Age:15 GoalKeeper Our club world class keeper who is very important as he produces top-notch saves for the club and usually commands the team. Douglas is a crucial component of Ignite's defensive rearguard.Douglas had proved his worth on numerous occasions where he kept his cool to deny the opponents. Douglas is also the only player in the squad to score goals while playing as a goalkeeper. 13.Gab, Age:15 Centre Midfielder Speed and technique are two of Gabriel's main characteristics, which he allies with efficiency and elegance. He is an extremely intelligent footballer and a complete midfielder. Gabriel positions himself well and is a good reader of the game. His bursts of speed and his skill with the ball at his feet are also two of his virtues. 14.Ricky, Age:16 Right back A player who love to do some tricks like stepovers to get away from defenders around him , drawing foul from opponents at the same time earns important freekics. Even when Ricky is unable to influence matters directly on the pitch, you can be sure his presence is felt. No-one, but no-one, wants Ignite to win more than Ricky. 16.Han Lin, Age:15 Centre Back/Winger/Striker One of our defenders who is very alert clearing any dangerous ball quickly and is able to attack quite well when the need arises. Athletic and solid as a rock, Hanlin is uncompromising in tackles. He can also play as a striker or winger, displaying speed and ability to convert goals. 
17.Junwei, Age:15 Centre Midfielder Junwei is fast, direct and reads the game superbly. Junwei is not a showy player, an attribute that matches his off the field persona, but gives a guarantee of practicality and elegance. He also brings an excellent technique and clever ball skills and a versatility which allowed him to show his abilities in midfield for Ignite. 19.Shihchin, Age:15 Centre Midfielder/ Winger Shih Chin has shown incredible vision on the pitch. His passing to the forwards and his ability to take the pressure off and protect the ball have turned him into one of the focal points on the pitch. Shih Chin also possesses a great shot, which makes him a real threat to goalkeepers. He has a lot to offer in midfield: he can play in a holding role as well as behind the attackers and can also play on the left. 20.Marvin, Age:16 Centre Back Our experienced defender who is crucial to the backline as he always very solid , able to tackle well and using his head well to clear ball. Armed with elegance, pace and an incredible reading of the game, Marvin is undoubtedly one of the finest defenders in our squad. The vice captain is definitely a great asset to the team. Marvin's main asset remains in his leadership in defence making him a solid foundation for Ignite's backline. 21.Ian, Age:15 Winger Ian is a fast player and has a flawless physique. His on-the-ball technique makes him capable of taking on any defenders. Dangerous dribbling ability allows him to blow by defenders and make it to the byline to cross into the opponent’s box. He also possesses an extremely powerful shot. Ian plays along the left wing where he is at his best. 
22.Ming Liang, Age:15 Left/ Right Fullback/ Midfielder A defender who does not drift away from position and able to stay calm to listen for instructions to stop attacks. Mingliang can also play as a midfield for the team, bustling with energy and possesses an eye for defence-splitting pass. 23.Huaimin, Age: 17 All Position The most versatile player in our squad. A complete player who can play almost in any positions. He's a committed player, whose hunger for goals never gets in the way of his desire to do the best for his team. Huaimin is fast footed and capable of leaving his markers flailing behind him, with a strong shot that converts into goals which made him the top scorer of the team. Huaimin is a player who just loves to fire shots with the outside of his boots. 27.Perry, Age:15 Winger/ Striker An offensive-minded player, Perry is a creative workhorse who has a powerful kick. He works hard on the pitch to dispossess the opponents. Perry is also known for his speed in the last third of the pitch, his striking ability and his determination. 98.Kahwai, Age:14 Left/ Right Fullback/ Midfielder Youngest player of our club who is able to set up an attacks regularly and able to stop attacks coming in. Elegant and composed in possession but full of energy, Kahwai is an archetypal box-to-box midfielder. He’s quick, good defensively as well as going forward. 
??.Joel, Age:14 Left Fullback Joel is a tall defender and very competitive in the aerial game.He possesses a great sliding tackle ability which could see him breaking up opponents' attacks on the wings. While he can also anticipate plays and possesses superb reaction time, what sets him apart from other defenders is his dangerous throw-ins. ??.Jesmond, Age: 14 Fullback/ Centre Back/ Goalkeeper At 1.86m, Jesmond is the tallest player in the squad. His advantage in height gives Ignite an assurance at the back with his aerial ability to cut off any long balls. Jesmond can also play as a goalkeeper, where he shows his quality as a brave and hardworking player. He always gives his best shot on the pitch no matter what.
